As used herein, the term “personal information” means information that specifically identifies you (such as your name, telephone number, email address or personal photograph or the identities of your mobile device contacts), as well as any information relating to your use of IS (including your past, current or anticipated location and any content you upload or create within the App) to the extent it is directly linked to other information that specifically identifies you. Personal information also includes demographic information such as your date of birth, gender, geographic area and preferences when such information is linked to other personal information that specifically identifies you. Personal information does not include “aggregate” information, which is data we collect about the use of the App or categories of App users, from which any personal information has been removed. For example, the percentage of the App’s registered users that identify themselves as male or female is aggregate information. Personal information also does not include “anonymous” information, such as information about a particular user’s location that is not linked to any information that specifically identifies the user. We collect aggregate data and anonymous data for a number of purposes, including helping us understand trends and user needs so that we can better consider new products and services, and tailor existing products and services to better serve our users. This policy in no way limits or restricts our collection of aggregate or anonymous information.

By allowing us to access such personal information, you understand that we may use such personal information for the purpose of identifying those of your mobile device contacts who are IS users, connecting you with those users on IS and notifying those users that you have registered for IS and have connected with them. Note that the App does not collect the home addresses, email addresses or profile pictures of your mobile device contacts, only their names and telephone numbers.
When you provide the App with your name and the phone number of your mobile device, you also understand that such personal information may be used for purposes of connecting you with other IS users who have stored such information on their own mobile device.
When turned on, the App may automatically collect certain location information from your mobile device and/or your mobile carrier.
